Central - Shone, Ethiopia - Children's Hope Chest
One of the most exciting aspects of our Central Wesleyan partnership with HopeChest is the opportunity to visit our CarePoint community! HopeChest does not host traditional mission trips, instead, these “partner visits” are designed around the goal of building meaningful and lasting relationships.
During our visit, we’ll have the chance to meet our HopeChest Friends, see firsthand the impact of CarePoint programming, encourage the dedicated in-country staff, and experience the richness of another culture.
This is more than a trip, it’s a chance to be present with our partners and friends, not just do activities. Relationship-building is at the heart of every moment. We’re so excited to see how God will move through this partnership as we continue to grow in connection and purpose together.

- Is there something you feel called to do differently in your faith, your relationships, or your service because of what you experienced?
- What did you learn about God’s character or His heart for people while in Ethiopia?- Was there a moment where you sensed God’s presence or guidance in a special way?
- How did God surprise you on this trip?
- What did you learn about yourself through this experience?
- Did the trip reveal any areas where God is inviting you to trust Him more deeply?
- How did this experience stretch your faith or move you outside your comfort zone?
